For an international company located in the eastern area of Brussels, we are looking for a Head of Site Controlling.

You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing financial insight and guidance to support critical business decisions. In addition, you will lead and develop a talented team, playing a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement at site level.
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned financial professional to take on a key leadership role at one of our major operational sites. This role is central to driving financial performance, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making at site level. We are specifically seeking someone with a strong background in plant controlling or site-level financial management within complex, fast-paced production environments. The ideal candidate combines a hands-on mindset with strategic insight and the ability to lead a team and collaborate closely with site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a sparring partner on all financial and performance-related topics
- Lead and manage the full financial planning cycle for the site: budgeting, forecasting, reporting
- Deliver transparency on P&L and cost structures, with clear analysis of operational impact on financial outcomes
- Identify cost drivers, performance risks, and improvement opportunities; recommend and implement corrective actions
- Oversee standard costing, variance analysis, and cost center control
- Monitor and challenge capital investments and project-related financials
- Track and improve customer/project profitability and working capital performance
- Support strategic and operational decision-making with robust financial insights
- Ensure compliance with group-level financial processes and reporting standards
- Lead and coach the local controlling team; support the transition of transactional finance activities where applicable
- Actively engage with operations and be present on the shop floor to understand real-time drivers of performance
- Report to the Group CFO
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in controlling, with a clear track record in plant or site-level financial leadership
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, operational performance metrics, and P&L interdependencies
- Experience working in dynamic, matrix-based organizations with complex production flows
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
- Hands-on approach, able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
- Proven ability to manage and develop teams
- Solid experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus), Excel and reporting tools
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence across levels and functions
