What your future may hold

As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will act as a trusted legal business partner to various departments, taking ownership of legal matters across a wide range of domains including amongst others product development, purchasing, real estate and software implementation. You’ll be responsible for:

• Providing expert legal advice and guidance on operational activities and corporate strategy.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad spectrum of commercial contracts.
• Managing litigation and dispute resolution across different jurisdictions and setting-up risk mitigation strategies.
• Overseeing GDPR/privacy compliance and advising on data protection matters.
• Leading the intellectual property strategy and portfolio for Sally Europe.
• Coaching/following up the legal assistant in corporate housekeeping and restructuring activities.
• Playing a key role in department-level strategic planning and legal project management (defining the department priorities and strategic planning, and supervise projects for the improvement of processes and ways of working of the legal department).
• Collaborating with Regulatory in supporting that team on legal topics.

Your skillset

• Master’s degree in Law.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in, and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of legal matters such as contract management, corporate law, GDPR, IP, real estate and business law B&B and B2C (gained in law firm and/or in-house).
• Experience in litigation and knowledge of legislation in neighboring countries; knowledge of UK law is a plus.
• Fluent in English, French, and Dutch; knowledge of German or Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously, while being comfortable to influence other managers and contribute to companywide strategic plans.
• High level of accountability and resilience under pressure, with a pragmatic, commercial, and hands-on mindset.
• Internationally minded and able to collaborate across borders.
• Fast learner, adaptable, and solution-oriented with clear communication skills.
