Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant


Role Overview

As a Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team. You will be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, designing functional solutions, and configuring Business Central to meet the needs of each implementation. You will work closely with project managers, developers, and key users to ensure successful roll-out and user adoption.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and develop functional design documentation.
  • Configure and customize Business Central to support specific business processes.
  • Support the full project lifecycle including testing, training, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Provide expertise in key modules such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Projects.
  • Lead workshops and user training sessions.
  • Assist in data migration and integration activities.
  • Ensure best practices and alignment with Microsoft standards.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Functional Consultant with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of core Business Central modules (Finance, SCM, Projects, etc.).
  • Experience with end-to-end implementations, preferably in a multi-site or multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a strong advantage.
  • Microsoft certifications (optional but preferred).
