Software Engineer

We´re currently looking for an experienced Developer to join a dynamic team in the banking sector. The team is focusing on relevant projects around the tool used by the finance team. A background in the banking or financial sector would be an additional asset.

We are looking for a candidate with:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer.

- Proficiency in Dutch or French as well as English.

- Experience in .NET and C#, and SQL Server

- Experience in managing a project so can also do the documentation and/or analysis for the specific project

- Tableau or Power BI knowledge is a huge plus

Within the Finance Department of our client and the Finance Transversal Solution & Control entity - Business partner Solution, the End User Solutions team is looking for a candidate to ensure the role of developer and business analyst in the scope of all Finance End user computing Tools by using new technologies, Dashboarding & reporting (Python, DatalQ, Power BI), withmain objective to grow towaras: a more simplified group target architecture landscape in support of the 2026 project.

Your future job - The main responsibilities are:

• Finding solutions to specific problems is one of your strengths: you are able to analyse/implement new requirements of the concerned stakeholders (finance users, external stakeholders) with the collaboration of business analysts.

• Technical analysis and comparing alternatives, and writing them down in a solution document

• Proposal and implementation of changes to improve our existing tools, procedures/processes. closings with the objective to simplify the current architecture & processes.

• User support on production issues & questions

• Documentation of procedures. process

• Provide Training, guidance, and user support (in change) on the concerned subjects

• You are flexible in case of production issues.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelor's or a Master's in IT, and knowledge of Finance or experience is a surplus value.

• You have at least 3 years of experience in SOL-server, Data Modeling, Tuning (PL-SOL, SSIS, SSAS), and good knowledge of .NET). Being able to develop complex SQL queries is mandatory

• Knowle¢lge of MS Access, Excel Advanced (ex., Pivot Table, macros)

• Knowledge of dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, DatalQ) is a surplus value

• You are able to review existing applications /SQL processes to improve performance.
