Siemens Protection Engineer, Belgium

We are looking for a Siemens Protection Engineer to join a major energy infrastructure project in Belgium, in the power generation and high-voltage transmission domain.

This is an extension of a Combined Cycle Power Plant.

Due to the urgency of the requirement, we are looking for professionals who currently hold the right to work in the EU.

This is a short term assignment that can be done on freelance basis (contractor) or project-based employment.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• functional tests to each position and relay, as well as
• communication tests to the PLC and/or RTU
• The protections to be tested are Siemens protections in the GIS 220 kV
• Types of equipment/protection zones include: Line Remièrie, HV Transformer, Shunt Reactor, Burbar Protection and PLC

Experience needed:

• solid experience in a similar role, in power generation and/or high-voltage projects
• expertise in Siemens Protections functional testing
• relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience
