We are all on the move. My client's battery materials give people autonomy and connectivity. We are a pioneer in battery materials that give added range and performance to electric vehicles. Our materials also ensure longer battery life for portable electronics. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.
My client is preparing to build multiple battery materials production plants across the globe. These cutting-edge facilities will be a critical part of the electric vehicle (EV) supply chain. In support of these greenfield expansions, Umicore is looking for a Project Control & Planning Manager with experience in industrial engineering projects to support the team in Brussels.
In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and integration of the planning of projects, from early feasibility assessments to start of production, i.e. design, construction and handover of manufacturing facilities and related structures.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

Work with the multi-discipline teams, the Project Control & Planning Manager is responsible to interface & integrate the different site project’s timelines in direct coordination with engineering program/project managers, ePCM partners and technical functional/domain leaders giving clear visibility of the project status and alerting on time to deviations to the program/project baselines.
Play as the primary Engineering Project Control contact to review & create accurate budgets, forecast project expenses, and ensure optimal execution within allocated financial frameworks. Responsible for the monthly accounting in SAP to ensure WBS level forecasting accuracy as well leveraging SAP historical data to benchmark budgets. Construct forecasting models (GR/IR/PT) to anticipate project expenses and maintain budgetary compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Profile Requirements

Exceptional Proficiency in the use of project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Planisware V7 is a must.
7- 10 years Project Control & Planning Manager or PMO experience, ideally with 5 years’ experience in Automotive (APQP) or Material/Mining Industry. Experience working for an EPCM
