Business Development Manager


JBAndrews is partnered with a large global Logistics integrator who are creating a global Air & Sea Freight operation with 20+ brand new sites across Europe, with Antwerp & Brussels as key parts of that (other new branches include Frankfurt, Hamburg, Paris, Milan, London, & Munich).


After strengthening their Warehousing, Inland, Overland, and Ports & Terminals operations, Freight Forwarding is the final piece of this very large jigsaw, and with extensive existing business to leverage in Belgium this is a key strategic location. We require a high pedigree Commercial profile with a strong local market knowledge to lead this commercial project.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve new and grow existing business
  • Maintain and manage your accounts on a daily basis
  • Set weekly meetings with customers, gain and retain
  • Preparing ad-hoc, long-term offers to customers, following up
  • Good relationship with ocean carriers is an advantage
  • Working towards a set sales target per KPI’s on monthly/yearly basis


The Requirements:

  • The business is looking for an individual with a proven track record in a sales-driven, hunting-focused account management role, specifically within the logistics and/or freight forwarding industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing new business and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of Ocean & Air Freight operations
  • Ideally the candidate will have managed small to large sized customer accounts before, with a focus on the more complex contracts.
