Marketing Manager - Digital Rail Solution


This is a dedicated full time role reporting to the Head of Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Hybrid working is permissible based on a 60(office) /40 (home office) split.

The Signalling Company (TSC) : A Skoda Group Affiliate, is the pioneer of software defined safety and non-safety solutions for the rail industry. Our mission is to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of rail operations by using our cutting-edge Real Time Operating System (RTOS) called RailOS to generate compelling and innovative solutions for on- board and trackside (wayside) applications. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Global Marketing Manager to join our team and drive our global marketing initiatives.


Job Summary

The Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies & plans to promote our products and services, enhance brand awareness, and drive customer engagement. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in managing successful marketing campaigns, executing external and [nominally] internal communication plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning :: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, in the short-, medium- and long-term.


  • Campaign Management :: Design*, plan, execute, and monitor multi-channel marketing campaigns that may be social media centric, email centric, event centric, or combinations thereof.



*Design in this case means conceptual design of content (visual and textual) and design of campaign execution (sequencing and cadence). To support detailed design, the Marketing Manager will have access to support from - the Skoda Group or outsourced graphic design/production team and - the product marketing and sales team for text content. Campaign management & execution tools/platforms can be acquired (normally via subscription)pending consultation with and approval of the Head of Sales, Marketing and Product Management.


  • Market Research :: Conduct market and competitor research to help the team identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth. Nominally, the candidate will be able to analyse their research and derive insights and findings that can be used to inform marketing (campaign) strategies and product development.


  • Content & Material Creation :: Oversee and manage the creation and maintenance of high-quality marketing content (textual and graphic) and published materials(including templates, icons, brochures, case studies, website content, blog posts, and social media updates).


  • Brand Management :: Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials. Develop brand guidelines and monitor adherence to maintain brand integrity.


  • Performance Analysis :: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing effectiveness and ROI.


  • Collaboration :: Work closely with sales, product management, and customer services/project delivery teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and customer needs.


  • Budget Management :: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.




Qualifications


  • Most be able to demonstrate a track record of management and execution with respect to the Key Responsibilities (as noted above)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing and experience with promoting high tech hardware/software platforms.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive engagement and revenue.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and nominally French or German, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools).
