We are fully committed to JavaScript across the entire stack. We believe that using a single language from database level to the end user results in a deep understanding of the language. This, in turn, leads to high developer productivity, high-quality products that stand the test of time, and happy users!

Our JS/TS stack includes:

• High-performance frontends built with React.js / Next.js
• Apps developed in React Native
• Backends powered by Node.js (either from scratch or with a headless CMS)
• TypeScript is a no-brainer

What are your responsibilities?

Most of your time will be spent designing functionalities and writing code—both backend and frontend. Besides coding, your role includes:

• Being involved in project discussions from the start, selecting the best technologies, and helping define the project’s structure.
• Collaborating with clients and designers to create a project plan, from wireframes to implementation and delivery.
• Setting up and maintaining necessary services (databases, hosting, CMS, server, etc.).
• Implementing designs pixel perfect.
• Sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues to elevate the entire team.
• Mentoring junior developers through small and large projects and guiding them in their professional development.
• Supporting clients during and after project delivery.

What profile are we looking for?

• 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript & TypeScript.
• Extensive frontend development experience, preferably with a framework. HTML & CSS hold no secrets for you.
• At least 3 years of experience with a major frontend framework (React.js / Angular.js / Vue.js, etc.) and/or mobile app environments (iOS, Android, React Native etc.), preferably Next.js / React.
• Strong understanding of code structure and modularization.
• Eager to learn - We don’t like to stand still. You’ll encounter various technologies, so adaptability is key. At PandaPanda, we value self-study, training, and mentoring juniors.
• Independent worker - you take initiative, find solutions, and aren’t afraid of challenges. You can plan and execute tasks autonomously.
• Good communicator - you’re comfortable interacting directly with clients, following up on projects, and participating in discussions.
• Flexible—you’ll work on multiple projects simultaneously, using different technologies and collaborating with various colleagues and clients.

PandaPanda is based in "Plein Magazijn," a creative hub in Antwerp, shared with other startups. We have a shared kitchen, meeting room, and event space.
