Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and maintaining a high level of user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs, printers, phones, and related hardware.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, and other enterprise applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Track and manage support tickets using the company’s helpdesk system.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new computers and peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Provide remote support to offsite users as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on various technical projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
