Junior Technical Support Specialist (Student Job) - European Commission

VASS is actively looking for a Junior Technical Dispatcher Intern to work for the European Commission in Brussels.


Job Description:

The European Commission is offering a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in a dynamic technical environment. As a Junior Technical Dispatcher, you’ll play a vital role in supporting communication, logging technical requests, and assisting in monitoring systems that keep Commission buildings running smoothly.

No prior experience is required—you'll receive full training on-site. If you're curious, organized, and good with people, this is a great way to start your professional journey.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and emails related to technical problems in Commission buildings.
  • Record complaints and intervention requests into ServiceNow, the Commission’s internal ticketing system (training provided).
  • Communicate clearly with maintenance providers and building managers.
  • Assist in basic administrative tasks and write short daily summaries/logs.
  • Pass along important updates to colleagues during shift handovers.


What We’re Looking For:

  • You are a student.
  • Comfortable using a computer; Microsoft Office knowledge is helpful.
  • Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written; technical vocabulary will be used).
  • Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure.
  • Willing to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a team.
  • Interest in learning ServiceNow or previous exposure to similar platforms is a plus.
