Job Title: Automation Superintendent – LNG Maritime Operations

VHR is hiring an Automation Superintendent on behalf of a leading client in the maritime energy sector. This role focuses on the technical oversight of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) vessels and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation (E/I/A) systems.

You will be the key point of contact for all E/I/A matters, supporting on-board teams and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day E/I/A technical support to vessel crews and superintendents
• Supervise E/I/A tasks for operational and new-build LNG assets
• Manage dry-docking and major maintenance planning
• Execute system upgrades and modifications
• Oversee technical budgets, procurement, and certification processes
• Ensure regulatory compliance through coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Automation, Electromechanics, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 3 years in a maritime technical role, ideally as an Automation Engineer at sea
• Strong understanding of DCS, SIS, and Honeywell systems
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
