Senior Accountant

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Accountant (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Zaventem .

Our client is a fast growing company active in the Services for Pharmaceutical sector .

As Senior Accountant (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and review reconciliations (monthly, quarterly) on inventory and intercompany accounts;
• Reconciling accounts with the general ledger;
• Execute month- and quarter end closing activities - perform account analysis to make sure entries and balances are correct;
• Analyze and interpret financial information to provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards;
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information;
• Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals and reclassifications into the ledger, as well as preparing reports;
• Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping;
• Internal controls/compliance: ensure that internal and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls are adhered to and performed in a timely matter;
• Assisting in the preparation of the audit files and annual accounts.
• Preparation & filing of surveys;
• Assisting in the preparation of the TAX declarations and forms.

The required profile for the Senior Accountant (m/f/x) position:

• University or Bachelor degree in Finance or related subject area preferred;
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• SAP & or Peoplesoft knowledge is a strong plus;
• Strong general accounting skills (statutory and international standards);
• Ability to work within a complex and changing environment;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft PC Tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio…);
• Strong quantitative and analytical capability;
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch and French;
• Can work independently but is also an excellent team player;
• Strong customer orientation (Countries, Businesses and Functions).
