Rotating Equipment Engineer

Job Description:

As an Engineer Rotating Equipment, you will provide technical support to the Rotating business unit, utilizing your expertise in mechanical engineering. You will play a key role in overhauling pumps, gearboxes, and screw compressors. While working independently, you will collaborate closely with supervisors on the shop floor and maintain an overview of the work. You will also interact directly with customers and keep the organization informed about progress.

Your responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and overhauls, ensuring work scopes and deadlines are met.
• Measure and design replacement components, either autonomously or with engineering colleagues, using the latest measuring techniques.
• Analyze available data and contribute to identifying root causes of any damages.
• Communicate progress and planning with colleagues and customers.
• Timely order the correct parts and liaise with suppliers on technical matters.
• Assist in qualitative reporting and contribute to maintaining order and quality.
• Offer creative yet high-quality engineering solutions.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
• Strong theoretical background, with a willingness to expand your knowledge.
• Experience with rotating equipment is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, PTC Creo is a plus.
• Previous experience in leading teams is beneficial.
• Familiarity with standard measuring equipment or willingness to learn.
• Flexible working approach, with a readiness to adapt when required.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (written and verbal). Additional languages are an advantage.
• Proficiency in standard office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Passionate about rotating equipment and keeping up with developments in the field.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to delegate effectively.
