Sustainability Manager

Are you passionate about driving sustainable practices and making a real impact on the environment and society? We're seeking a dynamic leader to head our client’s Sustainability department and shape the future of corporate social responsibility.

The Role

As Sustainability Manager, you will:

• Define and implement medium to long-term sustainability strategies aligned with legal obligations and company goals
• Lead a team of 15 experts across various sustainability domains
• Oversee projects related to decarbonisation, responsible procurement, waste management, biodiversity, and more
• Collaborate with internal departments to achieve strategic sustainability objectives
• Prepare and publish the annual Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) report
• Engage with key external stakeholders to promote the organisation's sustainability interests
• Manage environmental audits, permits, and compliance with environmental legislation.

The Ideal Candidate

• Master's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental and social management in an industrial context is required
• Proven track record in people management
• Strong knowledge of sustainability legislation and management
• Experience in budget management and strategic decision-making
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good command of the other language and good English skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to translate global objectives into concrete actions
• Experience in change management and process implementation.
