Business Development Manager


We are delighted to be supporting our client, a global engineering technology specialist, with their search for a Business Development Manager (Oil & Gas).


The ideal candidate will have prior experience with instrumentation technology in the Oil & Gas sector, either someone with previous sales experience in instrumentation, or with an engineering background in this area looking to move into a commercial role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high level of performance in territory to meet/exceed sales objectives
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key accounts; prospecting and developing new accounts in existing and target markets
  • Identify new opportunities, develop and execute sales growth strategy
  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline
  • Review and collaborate on proposals as part of customer tenders with bid team/stakeholders
  • Manage and negotiate opportunity to contract process
  • Ownership and reporting of KPIs
  • Maintain effective communication with business stakeholders (commercial, operations and finance)
  • Establish self as go-to trusted expert by gaining intimate knowledge of the business products, services and capabilities
  • Maintain competitive market analysis in conjunction with marketing team


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation, process/chemical engineering
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development/engineering experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
