Our partner is one of the world leaders in development, manufacturing, assembly and detailed parts supply in the aeronautical sector. Its competencies are spread throughout civil, defence and space markets.

Across 6 countries, 3,800 people are working with the goal of serving major OEMs and super tier-ones.

Job Description

Our partner is recruiting for a series of projects that are going to start this year. Below are listed 3 of the most urgent:

  • Create and run a department specialised in Spare Parts. This need is rising due to the increasing demand for maintenance required from airline partners of the client. The supplier list must be refreshed and new contracts but be negotiated. That's why they are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead this long term project.

  • Lead the sourcing of new technology for the air fleet for the coming decades. This is a business critical project, long term, that needs both technical and procurement experience.

  • Procurement manager for the new air defence planes coming in. This project is also business critical and very urgent.

Jouw profiel

Candidate's profile

  • The candidate must posses at least 4 years experience in Procurement. Being it in a operational or strategic role the key word is adaptability and project management.
  • An experience in Spare parts in other industries like Automobile or heavy industry is also interesting
  • French and English are an absolute requirement seen the international scope of some projects.
  • At least 3 years experience in the sourcing and management of suppliers and negotiation of contracts.
  • Technical know-how to be able to collaborate with the internal stakeholders.

  • De leveranciers en producten evalueren (audits, tevredenheidsenquêtes, staalname, ...) en verbeteringen voorstellen
  • De uitvoering van de aankoopcontracten tot aan de betaling opvolgen (hoeveelheid, kwaliteit, leveringstermijnen, ...)
  • De aankoopstrategie van een onderneming uitwerken of verder uitbouwen
  • Prijzen en leveringstermijnen van producten onderhandelen met de leveranciers
