Senior Accountant - Brussels Region - Industry

Due to the expansion of the finance team, our client searches a highly-driven accountant who will be in charge of the general accounting for multiple entities . You will be handling the full-cycle accounting from A to Z : closings, annual accounts, VAT, etc. ...

Our client is a well-established international company , with a steady expansion. You will be reporting directly to the chief accountant and have contact with various stakeholders.

In this position you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• General ledger accounting
• Performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Review and control of the balance sheet
• Preparation and filing of the annual accounts (NBB)
• Submission of periodic VAT returns
• Preparation of corporate income tax
• Point of contact for audit matters
• Monthly financial reporting
• Process optimisation and automation

We are looking for someone that matches the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of BE GAAP
• Fluent in Dutch and French , good command in English
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills
