Senior Functional Analyst – Regulatory Reporting / Credit Risk (Banking)

We are currently supporting a leading financial services organisation in hiring a Senior Functional Analyst to join a data-driven regulatory reporting environment.

This role sits at the intersection of credit risk, regulatory reporting, and data engineering , and requires someone who can translate complex regulatory requirements into functional system designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional analysis and design for regulatory and risk-related systems
• Translate regulatory requirements (e.g. AnaCredit, IFRS9, Basel) into clear functional specifications
• Work closely with data teams to understand and document data flows, lineage, and transformations
• Support and execute end-to-end testing of data pipelines (including validation and reconciliation)
• Produce detailed, structured, and audit-ready documentation
• Collaborate with IT, risk, and regulatory stakeholders in an Agile environment
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues

Required Experience

• 5+ years experience as a Functional Analyst / Business Analyst within banking or insurance
• Strong knowledge of credit risk and/or regulatory reporting
• Experience working with data pipelines (ETL, data mapping, data lineage)
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing (UAT, data validation, reconciliation)
• Proven ability to create complex functional and regulatory documentation
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with AnaCredit, IFRS9, Basel or similar frameworks
• Exposure to loan-level data / exposure data (loan tape)
• Experience in Agile delivery environments
