Project Controller

PROJECT CONTROLLER - East Flanders

We are looking for a Project Controller who thrives in complexity, enjoys working at the intersection of finance and operations, and wants to have a direct impact on large-scale technical projects.

This is not a traditional controlling role, this is a project-driven, high-ownership position where you influence profitability, performance, and decision-making across multiple international projects.

What you will do:

You will act as the financial backbone of our project organization:

• Own project-level forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning

• Monitor costs, revenues, cash flow, and work-in-progress across active projects

• Analyse deviations, risks, and performance trends and translate them into clear actions

• Partner closely with Project Managers to drive profitability and cost control

• Ensure accurate month-end closing, accruals, and financial reporting

• Manage project invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial compliance

• Build and improve KPIs, tools, and reporting structures

• Act as the bridge between Finance and Operations

What we are looking for

• 5+ years’ experience in Project Controlling or similar finance role

• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

• Experience working with SAP (project modules is a strong plus)

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work closely with operational and technical teams

• Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)

• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic environment
