The project:

Our client in the utilites sector, is seeking an experienced Test Coordinator - GIS Domain to strengthen their team.

Responsibilites:

Test Strategy & Governance

• Define, maintain and continuously improve the testing strategy in alignment with testing standards and project acceptance criteria.
• Ensure adequate coverage of both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, load and security testing.
• Define entry and exit criteria for all testing phases.
• Assess testing risks and recommend mitigation actions.

Test Planning & Coordination

• Define, organize and coordinate testing activities across all project phases.
• Establish and maintain detailed test plans, testing schedules and execution roadmaps.
• Coordinate testing activities involving Business users, Business Analysts, Developers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure proper preparation of test environments and test data.
• Monitor dependencies and ensure alignment between project timelines and testing activities.

Test Execution Management

• Organize and supervise test campaigns, including System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End Testing (E2E), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression Testing.
• Coach and support Business users participating in testing activities.
• Facilitate test execution sessions and ensure efficient collaboration among all participants.
• Ensure testing activities are executed according to agreed standards and methodologies.

Defect & Quality Management

• Monitor defects throughout their lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate defect prioritization together with Project Managers, Business representatives, Business Analysts and Development teams.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, execution results and defects.
• Guarantee the consistency and quality of information maintained within testing tools.

Reporting & Steering

• Define and maintain testing KPIs and quality indicators based on ORES standards.
• Produce clear and actionable reporting for project teams, steering committees and management.
• Provide visibility on testing progress, risks, defects and quality status.
• Support decision-making through accurate testing metrics and quality dashboards.

Testing Tools & Methodologies

• Structure and maintain testing repositories within Quality Center (ALM) and Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Promote testing best practices and quality standards across projects.
• Collaborate with the Testing Lead to continuously improve testing processes, governance and tooling.

Is this you?

Mandatory

• Proven experience coordinating testing activities on medium to large-scale projects involving testing teams ranging from 5 to 25 people.
• Strong experience defining and implementing test strategies, test plans, schedules, risk management approaches and quality reporting.

Hands-on experience with:

• HP ALM / Quality Center
• Azure DevOps Test Plans

• Proven experience coordinating business testing sessions, including planning, coaching and execution support.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, processes and best practices.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification (or equivalent practical expertise).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Agile/Scrum, Waterfall (V-Model) and Hybrid project environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred

• English level B2 or higher.
• Experience in Utilities, Energy or Infrastructure sectors.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) environments.
• Experience with network management, asset management or smart grid-related applications.
