Description

  • Lead sourcing activities for purchasing components used in Aisin production plants.
  • Conduct market studies and benchmark the European supplier market to identify the most suitable suppliers in terms of know-how, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental standards.
  • Manage supplier selection and negotiation processes while supporting cost optimization initiatives for mass production.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Present sourcing analyses and strategic recommendations to senior management in a structured and data-driven manner.
  • Participate in short international business trips (2-3 days) when required.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out market studies for specific product categories to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  • Benchmark the European market to identify qualified and competitive supplier candidates.
  • Use the Request for Information (RFI) process to assess suppliers' capabilities and expertise.
  • Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process with selected suppliers.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, prepare reports, and recommend supplier selection strategies.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalize costs, contracts, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Investigate and implement cost optimization opportunities for mass production activities.
  • Participate in supplier performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present sourcing analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or MBA.
  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or manufacturing.
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Japanese business culture is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus (French, Czech, Turkish, Japanese).
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Autonomous, flexible, and customer-oriented.
