Contracts Counsel | Global Group

For a global industrial organisation, I am looking for a Contracts Counsel with at least 5 years of relevant experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Fluent in English, preferably with good command of French.

The company is an industrial enterprise operating on a global scale. It supports its clients in various markets and regions through project-based activities.

Function

Based at the Brussels headquarters, you will join the legal department and provide legal support to the group on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements for industrial projects
• Advising business teams on legal risks and supporting them in day-to-day operations
• Maintaining and enhancing contract templates and legal documentation
• Providing guidance on corporate governance and compliance matters, including trade, sanctions, and data protection
• Liaising with external legal advisors where necessary
• Managing post-contractual issues and assisting with dispute resolution

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in law
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in English
• You demonstrate a strong business acumen and an ability to balance legal and commercial considerations
• You are able to manage your workload and priorities effectively
• You are assertive, pragmatic and proactive
• You pay close attention to detail
• You have strong analytical and summarising skills
• You communicate clearly and effectively
• You are fluent in English. A good command of French is a significant advantage
