HSE Prevention Advisor (m/f/x) Brussels Airport (Zaventem)

About the role

As HSE Prevention Advisor, you safeguard the health, safety and well-being of everyone on our Brussels Airport site. You combine training, audits and incident analysis into a single mission: making sure every colleague goes home safe. You report to the site management and act as the go-to expert on all HSE matters.

Success in this role means a measurable drop in incidents and near-misses, a workforce that is genuinely engaged with safety, and audit findings that are closed quickly and lastingly. You are not a paperwork advisor. You are visible on the shop floor and trusted by both operators and management.

This role is central to our mission. In the aviation industry, safety and precision are non-negotiable. By keeping our people and processes safe, you directly protect our reputation, operational continuity and the engineers who keep aircraft engines flying.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HSE training and raise awareness around safety, health and ergonomics across all teams.
• Conduct site audits and inspections, and follow up on action points until they are fully resolved.
• Analyze incidents and near-misses, identify root causes, and propose preventive measures.
• Provide first aid coverage and advise on ergonomic improvements on the work floor.
• Advise management proactively on HSE policy, legal obligations and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain HSE documentation and report on key safety indicators.

Qualifications

• Technical Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Certified Prevention Advisor (minimum Level 2).
• Certificate in industrial first aid.
• Trilingual: Dutch, French and English (aviation is an international environment).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and a sharp eye for risk.

Als HSE Prevention Advisor waak je over de veiligheid, gezondheid en het welzijn van iedereen op onze site op Brussels Airport. Je brengt trainingen, audits en incidentenanalyse samen in één missie: ervoor zorgen dat elke collega veilig naar huis gaat. Je rapporteert aan het sitemanagement en bent hét aanspreekpunt voor alle HSE-vraagstukken.

Succes in deze rol betekent een meetbare daling van incidenten en bijna-ongevallen, medewerkers die veiligheid écht omarmen, en auditpunten die snel en duurzaam worden afgesloten. Je bent geen papieren adviseur. Je bent zichtbaar op de werkvloer en geniet het vertrouwen van zowel operatoren als management.

Deze rol staat centraal in onze missie. In de luchtvaartindustrie zijn veiligheid en precisie niet onderhandelbaar. Door onze mensen en processen veilig te houden, bescherm je rechtstreeks onze reputatie, de operationele continuïteit en de ingenieurs die vliegtuigmotoren laten draaien.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Geef HSE-trainingen en sensibiliseer alle teams rond veiligheid, gezondheid en ergonomie.
• Voer werfaudits en inspecties uit en volg actiepunten op tot ze volledig zijn afgehandeld.
• Analyseer incidenten en bijna-ongevallen, achterhaal de grondoorzaken en stel preventieve maatregelen voor.
• Sta in voor eerste hulp en adviseer over ergonomische verbeteringen op de werkvloer.
• Adviseer het management proactief over HSE-beleid, wettelijke verplichtingen en regelgeving.
• Beheer de HSE-documentatie en rapporteer over de belangrijkste veiligheidsindicatoren.

Kwalificaties

• Technische Bachelor- of Masteropleiding.
• Erkend Preventieadviseur (minimum Niveau 2).
• Certificaat industriële eerste hulp.
• Drietalig: Nederlands, Frans en Engels (luchtvaart is een internationale omgeving).
• Sterke mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatievaardigheden.
• Hands-on, proactief en een scherp oog voor risico's.
