For our client, a fast-growing Belgian scale-up at the forefront of Model Risk Management and AI Governance, we're looking for a thorough, analytical, and hands-on Senior Test Analyst.
Who you are
You don't just find bugs - you prevent them. You're the kind of person who sits down with product and engineering before a line of code is written and asks the right questions. You have a sharp eye for business logic, a low tolerance for vague requirements, and a real drive to understand what a system is actually supposed to do. You communicate risk in plain language, not test jargon, and you thrive in an environment where quality is a team sport.
What you'll be able to brag about
When friends or family ask what you do, you won't be talking about "writing test reports" - you'll be able to say things like:
- I was the person who caught a critical business logic flaw before it ever reached a client, because I was in the room when it was designed
- I built a quality gate process that cut regression issues in half without slowing the team down
- I redirected our test automation efforts so they actually cover the flows that matter, not just the easy paths
- I triaged 80+ failed tests after a release and pinpointed the two that were genuinely breaking client value - the rest were noise
- I helped shift our testing culture left, so engineers were writing better acceptance criteria from day one
- I made our risk conversations with stakeholders concrete, replacing vague "it might break" with evidence-based release readiness
You'll fit right in if you:
- Have solid senior-level experience in a testing role where you held final quality sign-off responsibility
- Prefer a design session over a 50-page test plan nobody reads
- Understand how test automation frameworks work well enough to guide engineers writing them - Python or JavaScript experience is a plus
- Can look at a wall of failed tests and quickly separate the business-critical breaks from the environment noise
- Are fluent in English, Dutch is a strong plus
- Know how to work in an Agile/DevOps environment as a partner, not a gatekeeper at the end of the line
- Can explain release readiness in terms of business risk, not just test coverage percentages
- Are curious about AI systems, compliance, and regulated industries - this product touches real financial and model risk decisions
Practicalities
- Based in Antwerp
- Hybrid (2 days on-site)
