Working as a data scientist in an innovative energy technology company where you will apply machine learning, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics to develop data-driven solutions that improve energy efficiency, optimize operations, and support the transition toward more sustainable energy systems.
Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy predictive models for energy applications including energy demand forecasting, renewable energy production prediction, asset health monitoring, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and operational optimization.
• Design and implement feature engineering and data preprocessing workflows for smart meter, IoT, sensor, operational, weather, market, and time-series energy datasets.
• Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to solve complex energy challenges, improve system performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Build, validate, and evaluate predictive models using robust experimentation frameworks, validation methodologies, and performance metrics to ensure reliability and business impact.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and scalable solutions.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that enable stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators and energy-related metrics.
Your Profile
• 2–5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or similar.
• Experience developing predictive models and applying statistical analysis to operational or industrial datasets.
• Strong understanding of data preparation, feature engineering, model evaluation, and experimentation methodologies.
• Experience working with time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
• Exposure to the energy sector, utilities, renewable energy, smart grids, sustainability initiatives, or industrial analytics is considered a strong plus.
