Legal & Compliance Officer

Robert Half is currently looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer (M/F/X) in Brussels.

The company is based in the Brussels region and this is a full-time position (40 hours/week) within a Banking & Finance / Legal & Compliance environment.

Responsibilities of the Legal & Compliance Officer (M/F/X) role:

• drafting, reviewing, and monitoring contracts;
• answering legal questions from the business;
• providing legal advice to internal stakeholders;
• supporting compliance activities within a banking and financial context;
• ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations;
• acting as a point of contact for ad hoc legal and compliance queries;
• collaborating with the legal & compliance team on various projects.

Required qualifications for this Legal & Compliance Officer (M/F/X) position:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Legal and/or Compliance;
• perfect English; German / French / Dutch / Spanish is a plus;
• first experience with contracts is required;
• experience in Banking & Finance is a strong advantage;
• strong interest in legal and compliance topics;
• hands-on mindset, not purely theoretical;
• strong communication skills and ability to express oneself clearly;
• team-oriented and open personality.
