Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Our client a globally renowned industrial company is looking for an experienced and highly motivated HSSE Manager to drive behavioral safety program and HSSE compliance. This role reports into the plant manager and forms part of the site leadership team. The HSSE Manager creates strategies that ensure a safe and effective workplace. Engage, include, and communicate with team members in developing and implementing strategies that achieve a safe and practical workplace. Drive corporate HSSE agenda with local stakeholders ensuring the plant operates in compliance with OMS standards.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Higher degree (master or equivalent due to experience)
• 5 years HSSE experience in manufacturing environment within HSSE and experience with risk analysis and audits
• Prevention-advisor Level 1 certified
• Good understanding of safety management principles
• Dutch speaking with good knowledge of English
• Strong communicator within all levels of the company
• Experience in risk assessments, assurance auditing skills and incident investigation
• People manager who can lead, coach, motivate and develop employees
• lead the HSSE pilar within Continuous Improvement
• Pragmatic and ‘can do’ mentality
