Data Technician (Permanent)

About the Role

An established technology integration company is seeking an experienced AV Installation Engineer to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting audio-visual systems across a range of commercial environments.

This role involves working on-site with modern AV technologies including display systems, conferencing solutions, structured cabling, control systems, and audio equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment including screens, projectors, speakers, microphones, and conferencing systems
• Carry out structured cabling and cable termination to industry standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Test and commission AV systems to ensure full functionality
• Troubleshoot installation issues on-site
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal project teams
• Complete installation documentation and reports where required

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in AV installation or a similar technical installation role
• Knowledge of commercial AV systems and technologies
• Experience with structured cabling and rack building
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving license preferred
