Foreman Workshop – Turbochargers (Workshop Based)

We ARE Renewables is looking for an experienced Foreman Workshop for one of our clients, to strengthen their workshop operations. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and actively participating in the servicing, repair, and overhaul of turbochargers and rotating equipment , while leading a team of engineers in a dynamic workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily workshop activities and task distribution;
• Supervise and coach a team of engineers, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work;
• Perform hands-on mechanical work, including disassembly, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of turbochargers;
• Inspect faults, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide expert technical guidance;
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards ;
• Monitor progress and check completed work for quality and compliance;
• Maintain workshop tools, machinery, and equipment;
• Manage consumables and spare parts requirements;
• Implement improvements to workshop processes and efficiency;
• Participate in toolbox meetings and communicate progress with management;
• Occasionally interact with customers during workshop visits.

Additional Info / Profile:

• Technical education at intermediate vocational level (mechanical);
• Strong mechanical background, preferably with turbochargers or rotating equipment ;
• Proven experience in a leadership or foreman role ;
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings;
• Confident working with workshop tools and machinery;
• Safety certified: VCA VOL , forklift license, and “Safe Freight Movement” certificate;
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and digital tools);
• Fluent in English and Dutch ;
• Valid driver’s license B required.
