Senior Engineer (Platform Engineering)

Job Title: Data and Platform Engineer Language: English Location: Brussels, Belgium Duration: 13/07/2026 - 30/04/2027 Job description: Data & Platform Engineer The Advanced Analytics team at CLIENT is looking for a Data & Platform Engineer to help build and scale the next generation of our Data Science & AI platform. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the data foundations that power analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions across the organisation. This role is perfect for an engineer who loves building robust data pipelines, enabling data teams, and shaping a modern data & AI stack. What You’ll Do Platform Engineering Develop and maintain CLIENT’s Data Science & AI platform, enabling experimentation, deployment, and monitoring of ML workloads. Integrate best practices in MLOps, CI/CD for data products, and scalable infrastructure. Data Ingestion & Transformation Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines, ensuring reliability, quality, and security. Develop transformations and data models supporting analytics and advanced use cases. Collaborate with data scientists to productionize and operationalize features and datasets. Collaboration & Enablement Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Architects to enable high-quality, reusable data assets. Ensure platform usability, documentation, and continuous improvement. Conformity Criteria ~3 years or more of experience in data and platform engineering ~ Proven expertise in cloud services for industrialized data analytics project. ~ Proven expertise in Databricks (core runtime, jobs, workflows, Delta Lake). ~ Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred). ~ Fluent in English ~ You can come to the office on Tuesday and Thursday Evaluation criteria PySpark and python skills Level of experience is seting up AI and Data Science platform Communication skills knowledge of: Python SQL Git, CI/CD Cloud platforms (Azure is an asset) Containerisation principles (Docker/K8s) SKills ~3 years or more of experience in data and platform engineering ~ Fluent in English ~ Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred). ~ Proven expertise in cloud services for industrialized data analytics project. ~ Proven expertise in Databricks (core runtime, jobs, workflows, Delta Lake). ~ You can come to the office on Tuesday and Thursday
