About the role
Heraeus Electro-Nite is looking for a Partner Contracts & Legal who will be the driving force behind efficient contract-related processes and provide legal support on ad hoc matters in the areas of corporate and employment law.
The Partner Contracts & Legal works closely with the Corporate Legal Team and the dedicated HEN Legal Business Partner.
In this role, the Partner Contracts & Legal supports the business in an international B2B environment by coordinating contract-related activities, ensuring that the correct processes are followed, and engaging the appropriate internal and external experts where necessary. While the business retains full responsibility for the content and ownership of contracts, the Partner Contracts & Legal provides guidance, oversight, and follow-up throughout the entire process.
This position reports directly to the Head of Finance of HEN.
Your role and responsibilities
Contract Management (±75%)
- Ensure structure and guidance throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution, renewal, or termination.
- Act as the central point of contact for contract-related questions from both suppliers and customers.
- Serve as the link between the business and the Corporate Legal Team / dedicated HEN Legal Business Partner.
- Coordinate the involvement of internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Sales, Procurement) and external legal or technical experts, and follow up on their input.
- Ensure that the correct templates, processes, and approval procedures are applied.
- Act as Key User, ensuring contracts are correctly uploaded and maintained in the Global Contract Management (GCM) system.
- Proactively remind stakeholders of next steps, deadlines, and obligations.
- Identify contractual risks and escalate them where necessary to the responsible General Manager, functional owner, and Corporate Legal Team.
Corporate Law & Compliance (±20%)
- Support the Corporate Legal Team on corporate law matters for HEN entities worldwide.
- Coordinate and follow up on compliance-related matters embedded in contractual agreements.
- Consult with specialized internal and external legal advisors when needed.
- Monitor compliance with established procedures and KPIs.
International Employment Law (±5%)
- In exceptional cases, involvement in matters related to international employment law, always in collaboration with specialized local legal advisors or the relevant Corporate Legal Team.
Stakeholder management & collaboration
- Proactively maintain contact with internal stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Procurement, Operations).
- Act as a bridge between the business and the legal department, translating legal complexity into pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
- Build and maintain a strong network of external advisors across various legal and specialist domains worldwide.
- Ensure clear reporting and accurate maintenance of contract data.
What we expect
- An experienced paralegal with proven experience in contract management in a B2B environment of at least 5 to 10 years.
- A junior lawyer (with a Master’s degree in Law) with a strong focus on and interest in contract management is also eligible; minimum 2 years of experience in a B2B environment.
- Solid expertise and hands-on experience in contract management.
- Basic knowledge of corporate law.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Dutch is a must.
- Ability to translate legal matters into clear and practical guidance.
- Proactive, service-oriented, and pragmatic mindset.
- Comfortable working in an international, matrix-driven organization.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 15% of working time.
