Senior Data Engineer Location: Brussels, Belgium Industry: Banking & Financial Services Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a leading banking organization in Brussels. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting, and digital banking initiatives. Responsibilities Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines and data solutions Build and optimize scalable data architectures Ensure data quality, security, and reliability Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders Support cloud and data platform modernization projects Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices Requirements ~5+ years of experience in data engineering ~ Strong SQL and Python/Scala/Java skills ~ Experience with Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar tools ~ Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ~ Experience with data warehousing and large-scale data processing ~ Strong communication skills in English Nice to Have Banking or financial services experience Experience with Snowflake or Databricks French or Dutch language skills What’s Offered Competitive salary and benefits Hybrid working model International and collaborative environment Career growth and learning opportunities
