ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a fast-growing fintech company operating across the BeNeLux region, specializing in digital and responsible financing solutions.
As part of its continued growth, the Risk team is strengthening with a Credit Risk Analyst / Risk Assessment Analyst.
This role stands out through one key element: direct exposure to senior management and the Executive Committee (CODIR), with a tangible impact on strategic business decisions.
YOUR ROLE
You will sit at the core of the risk decision-making framework and actively contribute to business growth.
Your mission is to optimize credit risk policies while ensuring a strong and controlled risk framework.
You will operate at the intersection of data, risk, and business strategy, driving continuous improvement of models, tools, and processes.
EXPOSURE & IMPACT
This is a highly visible role with strong interaction at senior level.
You will have:
- Direct exposure to the Executive Committee (CODIR)
- Regular presentation of risk analyses and strategic recommendations
- A role in key risk vs. business trade-off discussions
- A direct influence on credit policies and growth strategy
Your insights will directly shape business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Credit Risk Policy & Underwriting
- Define and evolve credit granting rules and risk policies
- Adapt risk strategies in line with business objectives
- Contribute to the improvement of scoring models and decision engines
2. Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Analyse credit risk data and identify key trends
- Build and maintain relevant Risk & Business KPIs
- Produce clear reporting and actionable recommendations for management and CODIR
3. Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes
- Challenge existing tools, systems, and decision frameworks
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
4. Control & Fraud Prevention
- Perform regular internal controls and risk reviews
- Detect anomalies and areas for optimization
- Contribute to fraud detection and prevention initiatives
PROFILE REQUIRED
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit Risk / Risk Analysis
Technical skills
- Strong data analysis capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills
- Good knowledge of Business Objects
- Ability to translate data into business-driven recommendations

- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- High level of rigor and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, comfortable with senior stakeholders
