Insurance Specialist


We are looking, on behalf of our client, for an Insurance Process Analyst to support strategic transformation and operational improvement initiatives within the insurance sector.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong operational background in insurance who have also been exposed to business transformation, project coordination, process optimization, or IT-related initiatives during their career.

Rather than being a purely technical Business Analyst position, this opportunity targets candidates who understand the operational reality of insurance activities and can bridge the gap between business needs, operational teams, and transformation projects.

As part of a dynamic environment, you will contribute to projects related to process optimization, digital transformation, operational efficiency, system modernization, and business change initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize insurance operational processes across areas such as claims management, policy administration, underwriting support, customer operations, or back-office activities.
  • Act as a bridge between operational teams and IT/project teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and translated into practical solutions.
  • Participate in transformation and continuous improvement initiatives related to process redesign, workflow optimization, digitalization, automation, system implementation, and migration projects.
  • Gather, challenge, and formalize business requirements from operational stakeholders while contributing to the definition of target processes and operational improvements.
  • Coordinate and follow up on project initiatives, ensuring proper communication between stakeholders, monitoring timelines, priorities, risks, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, compliance, product teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • Support testing, user adoption, training, and change management activities during project implementation phases.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and contribute to measuring the impact and effectiveness of implemented improvements and transformation initiatives.

Profile Required

  • Previous exposure to IT transformation, digitalization, system implementation, operational improvement, or business change projects is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the insurance sector in roles related to claims handling, policy administration, business analyst, underwriting support, insurance operations, process coordination, functional analysis, transformation initiatives, or IT project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations, workflows, and insurance products.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously in a structured and results-oriented manner.
  • Ability to interact with both operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in complex and evolving environments.
  • Fluency in English and either French or Dutch.
  • Team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
