Stage, project leader

The ideal canNexeo is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for one of the leading financial institutions in Belgium.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Project Setup & Governance

• Define and align project objectives with management and stakeholders
• Ensure accurate project effort and budget estimations
• Establish and maintain detailed project planning and roadmaps
• Organize project sourcing, staffing and subcontracting activities
• Contribute to defining and improving project governance approaches within the Marketing & Communications department
• Share best practices, methodologies and know-how with other project managers

Project Delivery & Monitoring

• Ensure successful delivery of project objectives within scope, budget, quality and timelines
• Coordinate and monitor all project deliverables and functional requirements
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues and mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure alignment between business expectations and project execution
• Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
• Lead projects in dynamic and rapidly evolving environments

Governance, Compliance & Standards

• Ensure the proper application of project governance and gating principles across all project stages
• Guarantee adherence to enterprise standards, compliance requirements, operational risk and permanent control guidelines
• Ensure all involved stakeholders and subcontractors follow organizational standards and procedures

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare and maintain all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Publish regular project status and progress reports
• Contribute to the preparation and facilitation of project steering committees
• Ensure clear communication between business teams and all project stakeholders
• Act as the key point of contact for project governance and delivery follow-up

Handover & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure smooth handover of project deliverables to operational/run teams
• Maintain continuous alignment with teams responsible for post-project activities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within project management practices
• Lead by example and contribute positively to team collaboration and delivery excellence

Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree
• Project Management certifications are a strong asset
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Project Management
• Strong experience managing complex projects in rapidly changing environments
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to lead teams functionally and coordinate multiple stakeholders
• Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Team player with motivating and listening abilities

Technical Skills

Mandatory

• Strong experience with project management methodologies, processes and tools
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Experience within the concerned business domains
• Strong risk management and governance capabilities
• Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Adobe Campaign
• Experience in Marketing & Communications projects
• Experience within the banking, finance or insurance sectors

Languages

• Good knowledge of English
• Active knowledge of French or Dutch
• Passive understanding of the second national language
