Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

For an international, data-driven organization, we are looking for a Freelance Enterprise Data Warehouse Engineer to support the design and evolution of a modern data platform.

In this role, you will play a key part in structuring and modeling data at scale, ensuring high-quality, reliable data foundations for analytics and business decision-making.

Your Role

As an EDWH Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data warehouse solutions, working closely with data teams and business stakeholders.

• Design and develop enterprise data warehouse architectures
• Apply data modeling methodologies such as Kimball (dimensional modeling) and Data Vault 2.0
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data platform
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance
• Support reporting and analytics use cases
• Translate business requirements into robust data solutions

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer / EDWH Engineer
• Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts and modeling
• Hands-on experience with Kimball methodology and Data Vault 2.0
• Solid knowledge of SQL and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
• Familiarity with tools such as dbt, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to bridge business and technical needs
• Good communication skills
