For a manufacturing customer in Brussels, we are seeking an experienced freelance Interim Logistics Manager to oversee warehouse management operations for a fast-paced distribution and supply chain environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing warehouse performance, improving logistics processes, and ensuring service levels are achieved across inbound, storage, and outbound activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations across inbound, inventory, and outbound functions
- Manage warehouse KPIs including OTIF, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and cost performance
- Coordinate and optimise warehouse workflows, staffing, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Drive inventory control processes and resolve stock discrepancies
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, customer service, and transport teams to ensure seamless operations
- Support warehouse transformation, restructuring, or system implementation projects where required
- Analyse operational data and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
- Coach and develop warehouse supervisors and operational teams
Profile
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics leadership roles
- Strong background in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
- Experience managing large warehouse operations and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of WMS systems and ERP platforms (SAP experience is advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in an interim, fast-changing environment
