Freelance ML Engineer – Marketing Automation (Retail) Limburg ( 1 or 2 days a week on-site) | Contract / Freelance We’re supporting an innovative retail client on a mission to transform their marketing through advanced AI and data-driven decision-making. They’re looking for a Freelance AI Engineer to design and deliver intelligent marketing solutions that enhance customer engagement, personalisation, and overall experience. This is a hands-on, project-driven role where you’ll apply machine learning and analytics to solve real commercial challenges—helping the business better understand and connect with its customers. Analyse customer and campaign data to generate actionable insights and improve ROI Support the development of customer experience strategies through data and modelling Work closely with marketing and data teams to align AI solutions with business goals Proven experience as an AI / Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist in a commercial setting Strong coding skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g. Experience working with marketing data, customer analytics, or personalisation platforms Solid understanding of segmentation techniques, recommendation systems, and predictive modelling Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of real-time or streaming data applications
