Mission

In this role, you will be responsible for the conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of clean utilities projects within the pharmaceutical industry. You will define a clear scope description and design in accordance with applicable standards and in coordination with internal customers. The position involves managing installations from purchase to start-up and verification, planning the specific utility part in line with global project or operational planning, and working at a senior service level where strategic initiatives, complex issue resolution, and technical direction are key expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for clean utilities projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope and standards.
  • Prepare a clear scope description and utility design coordinated with internal customers, maintaining compliance with all applicable engineering and pharmaceutical requirements.
  • Manage the purchase, start-up, and verification of installations, including the coordination and supervision of equipment and piping installation activities.
  • Carry out verification/validation tests and ensure complete documentation, making safety and quality paramount throughout project implementation and execution.
  • Perform detailed planning of the specific utility part, ensuring alignment with overall global project or operational planning requirements established by the client.
  • Deliver services at a senior service level, including execution of strategic initiatives and resolution of complex issues related to clean utilities engineering.
  • Develop innovative solutions and guide technical direction within the defined service scope, ensuring consistent provision of solutions to complex challenges.
  • Coordinate other resources (team management) where applicable and facilitate knowledge transfer within service parameters to support wider project objectives.

What skills do you bring to the table?

  • Master’s degree as a civil, industrial, or bio-engineer, industrial pharmacist, or equivalent by experience, preferably in a scientific field (Biochemistry or Biotechnology).
  • Proven experience in clean utilities within the pharmaceutical sector, covering conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering activities for utility systems.
  • Experience with formulation/preparation and having also carried out validations is considered a plus, particularly in relation to pharmaceutical production environments.
  • Ability to deliver advanced and autonomous services within a defined scope, including the execution of strategic initiatives and the resolution of complex issues.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop innovative solutions and guide technical direction, while coordinating other resources as needed.
  • Strong skills in planning and aligning the specific utility part with global project or operational planning, ensuring safety and quality are paramount.
  • Proven track record of facilitating knowledge transfer within service parameters and influencing decisions across multiple service streams.
