Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support a Risk & Credits rating applications project impacting rating processes, risk models, expected loss, risk weighted assets, loan loss reserves and regulatory capital. The role operates within a risk squad in a 50% on-site (Brussels) and 50% homeworking setup. The start date is as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Translate requirements into local requirements.
• Collaborate with the risk modelling team.
• Integrate model changes into the rating systems.
• Ensure alignment with changes in the risk modelling process.
• Assess system impacts and organisation impacts.
• Assess impacts on expected loss, risk weighted assets, loan loss reserves and risk-based pricing.
• Assess impacts on internal and external reporting.
• Communicate impacts to relationship managers and risk officers using the rating systems.
• Communicate project cost impacts to tribe management.
• Communicate impacts to management stakeholders.
• Operate within a risk squad and quickly acquire process, architecture and system knowledge.

Must-Have Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• 2 to 3 years of experience as a business analyst or in functional analysis.
• Experience with SQL.
• Functional and technical analysis skills.
• Medium to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Testing capabilities.
• Experience with credits.
• Experience supporting a development squad in an agile environment.
• Experience working in a large company or complex business environment.
• Experience in large-scale IT development.
• Expertise in data analysis, requirements documentation and testing.
• Good math skills, through education or professional experience.
• Ability to communicate with risk modelers developing complex statistical models.
• Ability to understand complex IT architectures, including API and batch interfaces.
• Dutch or French proficiency: fluent/good speaking and understanding, and basic/good writing.
• English proficiency.
