Our client is looking for a System Design Engineer to strengthen its IT Infrastructure team. You will play a key role in designing, engineering, and maintaining secure systems, with a strong focus on CyberArk (Privileged Access Management) solutions within a self-hosted environment .

Role Overview

As a System Design Engineer, you are responsible for translating business and technical requirements into robust system designs, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.

You will contribute to both run (operations, incidents, optimization) and change (design, improvement, automation) activities while acting as an expert in system engineering and security.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Engineering

• Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into solution designs
• Evaluate design options, trade-offs, and impacts
• Ensure design compliance with security and infrastructure standards
• Support and validate implementation and deployment of solutions

Operations & Optimization

• Manage and improve system performance, capacity, and stability
• Perform complex incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Participate in on-call/standby rotation for critical systems

Automation & Innovation

• Contribute to automation initiatives across the infrastructure ecosystem
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g. Python, Shell) to improve efficiency
• Propose and implement improvements to systems, processes, and services

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain high-quality technical documentation
• Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation of system architecture and processes

Technical Environment

You will work in a modern infrastructure environment including:

• CyberArk (core focus, self-hosted environment)
• Linux / RedHat OS
• Microsoft Windows environments
• OpenShift / containerized environments
• REST APIs & scripting
• Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in system engineering / IT infrastructure
• Strong experience in system design and engineering within enterprise environments
• Proven experience in CyberArk or Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Experience working in secure and regulated environments is a plus

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Linux (RedHat) and Windows systems
• Infrastructure engineering (IaaS)
• Incident management & root cause analysis
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Shell)
• Knowledge of APIs and system integration

Nice to Have

• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Authentication systems
