Our client is responsible for engineering and consultancy services related to the development and realization of buildings and infrastructure. These projects cover feasibility, basic design, detailed design, technical assistance during construction and on-site construction follow-up. The activity is mainly situated in Belgium, even though they have projects worldwide in specific market segments.
Inside the business line ‘Urban’, the Interim Manager will join the department ‘Acoustics & Vibrations’ which is involved in:
- Environmental acoustics
- Building acoustics
- Structural dynamics
The team is composed of specialized engineers dedicated to the management of noise and vibration nuisance and the improvement of acoustic quality in a variety of projects (buildings, infrastructure, nuclear facilities, industry, environment…).
This interim management assignment normally runs until the end of October 2026.
Availability: at least 24 hours a week (2,5 days).
Responsibilities
• Assist the department with performing specific noise and vibration measurements.
• Analyze and report the measured data to obtain specific indicators according to standards and legislation.
• Be responsible for modelling and simulating the generation, the propagation and the impact of noise and vibration in open and built space making use of advanced and specific software.
• Together with the client looking for the best solutions using a problem-solving approach.
• Responsible for ensuring that the budget, the timing and the quality of the engineering services is executed as required. Make sure that the assigned projects will be executed in accordance with the quality system and the H&S rules.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Engineering (civil engineering, electro-mechanic…) or similar.
• Min 5 years of relevant work experience with Acoustics and Vibrations projects in the building, infrastructural or environmental sector.
• Strong in French and in Dutch. Level of English must be good.
• Dynamic and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be critical and can think out-of-the-box.
