Project Engineer – Protection, Automation & Control (PAC)

We are seeking a Project Engineer specialising in Protection, Automation and Control systems to support electrical infrastructure projects across high‑ and medium‑voltage networks.

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation of projects within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. You will ensure the coherence, quality and functionality of designs throughout the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies through to project closure.

You will work closely with Project Leaders, technical experts and other Project Engineers, acting as the technical point of contact within the project team.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to feasibility and conceptual studies, including technical scope definition and design development
• Perform and coordinate technical studies related to protection, automation and control systems
• Guide and technically oversee the design team during detailed engineering phases
• Ensure studies are delivered in line with agreed scope, quality and technical standards
• Identify the impact of new technical concepts on project operation and implementation
• Monitor project progress and report on technical status and risks
• Safeguard design coherence and technical quality across project phases

Profile:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong background or interest in electrical engineering, electrotechnics, automation and energy systems
• Proven knowledge of electricity grids is an advantage
• Excellent command of Dutch, with good knowledge of French and English
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
• Clear communicator with a collaborative, team‑focused mindset
