Belgian Payroll Operations Manager

International customer requiring senior payroll operations support for their Belgian payroll function. The consultant will take ownership of day-to-day payroll operations and ensure smooth, compliant end-to-end payroll delivery across the Belgian workforce.

The environment is operationally focused rather than purely project-based. Strong stakeholder communication and hands-on payroll ownership are critical.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end Belgian payroll operations for the customer
• Manage and coordinate all operational payroll activities
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with Belgian legislation
• Act as the main operational payroll lead for the customer environment
• Support payroll validations, controls, reconciliations, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, HR teams, finance, and external payroll providers where required
• Ensure compliance with Belgian payroll, tax, and labour regulations
• Drive operational improvements and maintain payroll service quality
• Support escalations and resolve payroll-related operational issues
• Provide reporting and operational updates to the business

Required Experience

• Strong experience managing Belgian payroll operations end-to-end
• Proven background working in operational payroll leadership or payroll management positions
• Strong understanding of Belgian payroll legislation, tax, and compliance
• Experience overseeing payroll delivery within a complex customer environment
• Ability to manage operational payroll activities independently
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Comfortable working in a remote environment
• Experience with SAP Payroll is highly preferred
• Previous experience within international or enterprise environments is beneficial
