Senior Analyst - Business, Functional & Data

About the Role

SANDT is looking for Senior Trilingual Analysts to support transformation initiatives across complex organisational environments.

We are looking for profiles with experience in one or more of the following areas: Business Analysis, Functional Analysis, Data Analysis, Process Analysis, Requirements Engineering, and Digital Transformation Support .

As a Senior Analyst, you will help clients clarify needs, structure problems, translate business challenges into actionable requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, data teams, architects, project managers, and decision-makers..

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis activities within your scope, ensuring clarity, structure, and delivery quality.
  • Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, or data-related requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business, IT, data, and project stakeholders.
  • Analyse current-state processes, systems, data flows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support solution design by assessing feasibility, business impact, risks, dependencies, and implementation constraints.
  • Contribute to decision-oriented deliverables that help stakeholders move from ambiguity to action.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment.
  • Support testing, validation, UAT preparation, and change impact assessments where relevant.
  • Identify risks, challenge assumptions constructively, and propose pragmatic improvements.
  • Manage defined workstreams independently, including planning, delivery, and quality assurance
  • Interact directly with clients within your scope and contribute to decision-oriented deliverables
  • Coach junior colleagues and actively contribute to team performance and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more analyst roles, such as: Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Data Analyst, Process Analyst, Business / IT Analyst, Requirements Analyst, and/or Digital Transformation Analyst.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong experience in process analysis, requirements structuring, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Comfortable working with incomplete or evolving information.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in consulting, public sector, financial services, utilities, telecom, healthcare, transport, or large corporate environments is a strong plus.

Technical Requirements

Depending on your expertise, you bring experience in several of the following areas:

  • Business analysis and requirements engineering
  • Functional analysis and solution specification
  • Data analysis, data mapping, data quality, or reporting support
  • Process modelling and optimisation
  • BPMN, UML, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Workshop facilitation and stakeholder interviews
  • Business process documentation
  • UAT support and test preparation
  • Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments
  • Project or programme support
  • Change impact analysis
  • Tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms
  • Experience with backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Experience using AI tools to support analysis, documentation, or delivery is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Trilingual proficiency in Dutch, French, and English .
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and create clarity
  • Pragmatic, structured, and delivery-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities

Location

Projects across Belgium, not limited to Brussels.
