As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the company's financial operations. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager and working within a team of 25 finance professionals, you will operate in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment.

Your main responsibilities include:
Managing and supervising general ledger accounting in line with Belgian GAAP
Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Preparing accurate financial statements and performing balance sheet reconciliations
Drafting statutory accounts and annual reports
Supporting group reporting activities
Tax & Compliance
Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and other Belgian tax filings
Supporting corporate income tax calculations and compliance
Acting as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
Ensuring full compliance with Belgian legal and accounting requirements
Operations & Projects
Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets
Improving accounting processes and strengthening internal controls
Contributing to ERP and system optimization projects
Participating in cross-functional and international initiatives
Your Profile:
You are a highly skilled accounting professional who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment and brings strong technical expertise.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Belgium
Very strong technical accounting skills, with deep knowledge of Belgian GAAP and VAT
Good understanding of Belgian corporate taxation
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Odoo, etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
Fluent in French and Dutch
Professional proficiency in English
Accurate, structured, and detail-oriented
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Able to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
