Modern Workplace technical lead

Are you a driven and experienced IT professional with a passion for the digital workplace? At Randstad Digital, we are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Lead Modern Workplace to strengthen the team at one of our large public sector clients. In this challenging role, you will combine deep technical expertise with content-driven leadership. You will act as the go-to expert for complex challenges, helping to build the stability, security, and further evolution of the end-user IT environment. You will work hands-on, coach colleagues, and directly contribute to an optimal hybrid user experience.

• Location: Hybrid (Brussels Region / Remote)
• Experience: 15+ years of experience in Modern Workplace & End-User Solutions (with at least 5 years in a leading or architectural role).
• Education: Higher education degree in Computer Science, ICT, or equivalent through extensive, demonstrable IT experience.

Your Tasks:

• Provide technical leadership and content-driven guidance for Modern Workplace solutions within the specialist team.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of M365 services (Office 365, Entra ID, and collaboration solutions).
• Act as the technical point of contact for complex incidents, changes, and improvement initiatives.
• Support, coach, and technically guide team members with complex issues and best practices.
• Ensure the technical cohesion, stability, and cybersecurity of the digital workplace.
• Actively contribute to projects through technical input, design reviews, and implementation support.
• Draft and maintain clear technical documentation and operational guidelines.
• Proactively follow technological evolutions within the M365 ecosystem and translate them into practical applications.

Your Profile:

• Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in designing and evolving digital workplace solutions and M365 workloads (Office 365, Entra ID).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT architecture or as a Technology Lead in complex IT environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud concepts (Azure) and cybersecurity fundamentals regarding identity and endpoint security.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in technically supporting hybrid working models (NWOW/HWOW).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, pragmatic, and quality-conscious mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge effectively to team members.
• Fluent in Dutch (or French) with a good passive knowledge of the second national language, plus a good command of English.
• Note: Willingness to provide a vision document/presentation upon application regarding the design of a modern, hybrid working environment within a large office infrastructure.
