ICT Business Analyst

Duration: Initial 6 months (strong likelihood of extension)

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Brussels (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Overview

We need an experienced ICT Business Analyst to support digital Gas Flow Management solutions across complex, regulated energy infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse complex business processes across gas transmission, storage and terminalling, translating them into clear functional requirements.
• Work in an Agile product team to refine requirements into user stories, supporting sprint planning and delivery.
• Model solutions using UML and BPMN, ensuring alignment with existing application architecture.
• Support the full product lifecycle: workshops, functional design, testing, UAT, documentation and training.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to improve customer‑facing systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support production systems, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement.

Must‑Have Skills

• Proven ICT / Business Analysis experience in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS).
• Strong UML and BPMN modelling skills.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence, Enterprise Architect, Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills in English.

Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience in energy, utilities, or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to gas flow, logistics, or large‑scale infrastructure systems.
• Knowledge of French or Dutch.
