About the Role

We’re looking for a Java Analyst Developer to join a large-scale enterprise environment within the insurance sector, focusing on the modernization and upgrade of business-critical applications.

You’ll play a key role in upgrading Java applications, improving system performance, and ensuring seamless integration across a complex IT landscape.

What You’ll Do

• Upgrade and maintain Java applications (versions 17–21)
• Design and develop transactional web applications
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions (UML is a plus)
• Build and optimize APIs and integration flows (MuleSoft)
• Perform testing (integration, regression, performance)
• Support deployments and production releases
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Java (J2EE / Java 8+ / 11 / 17+)
• Hands-on with Spring (MVC / Boot)
• Experience with MuleSoft (mandatory)
• Solid knowledge of:
• REST APIs & integrations
• SQL / ORM (Hibernate, JPA)
• JavaScript / HTML / CSS
• Experience xqknzec with Docker/containerization
• Strong understanding of testing frameworks (JUnit, etc.)
• Fluent in Dutch + good English

Nice to Have

• Experience with JSP / jQuery (legacy systems)
• Exposure to Liferay, Alfresco, and Selenium
• Knowledge of API design (RAML, DataWeave)
• Experience in insurance or banking environments
